INTRODUCTION
They may not know it, but just about everyone in the English speaking world has heard Dan Russell's voice in one form or another, one style or another, through one media or another; voice acting, singing, mimicking, narrating, announcing, advertising, or working with other talented people as a voice director for cartoons & feature animations.
A short step away from the vocal arena, Dan's skills as a musician, composer and arranger, are the final (and very useful) piece of the picture.
This creative North East Coast American can bring his breadth of talent and his experience to any project he works on. As many media and entertainment industry professionals have found, his repertoire of voice and musical skills are a pleasure to work with.
Dan Russell; sometimes right out loud, sometimes beautifully understated, sometimes spoken, sometimes sung - always an involved professional.

BACKGROUND
Dan was born and brought up in Boston Massachusetts. He was educated both there, and in New York and Europe. From around 1975, Dan commenced his career as a professional entertainer playing session guitar and singing in clubs in New York, the Caribbean, Scandinavia, and Bermuda.
In 1980 he made his home in London after landing a publishing deal.
Through his involvement on the session scene, around 1984 Dan was introduced to the world of voice-over and voice acting; this became central to his working life and is so to the present day.
In 1995 Dan helped to form his company "Character Development Ltd" with a view towards casting, directing, and producing voice and music for animation. To date he has been involved in over 1400 shows. These days Dan divides his time between singing, speaking, writing, and directing. His work takes him all over the world.
